An engagement ring is probably the most important ring that women can get from the man she is in love with. Back in the day it was easier for men to pick out a ring, plus there wasn’t that much to chose from. Men are now worried about getting the wrong ring, and are taking their girlfriends to pick out the ring of their dreams.
Taking your girlfriend to pick out her engagement ring is the worst thing you can do! First of all, it kills the surprise and ruins the whole purpose of asking for her hand in marriage.

2) Find out her taste in jewelry. Look at the type of rings that she wears. By you knowing her style you’ll be able to pick out the perfect ring for you. If her style is laid back and simple then you might want to go for a ring that only has one rock. But if you know she’s really girly and likes to wear jewelry than you might want to get her a ring with some bling bling.
3) Now let’s say you found two rings that are perfect but can’t choose which one to get, this is when you can get help from a friend. The perfect person that you can ask would be her best friend. The reason why you would want to get her best friend’s opinion is because she most likely has known your girlfriend for the longest time and knows the things she likes and doesn’t like.
4) Let’s say you found the perfect ring, but its way over your budget. There is no need to start panicking. There are some jewelry stores that are now doing installment payments. You can buy the ring and every month make payments. This is a good way to not lose the ring you want to give to your girlfriend.
